After an approximately 21-month construction period and an investment of almost €10 million, the new fire station at the Gendorf Chemical Park was put into operation in autumn 2014. The new building houses all operating equipment, workshops, store rooms, vehicle halls, and the “heart” of the fire station: the state-of-the-art control centre, equipped to the latest standards, which unites the site fire brigade and the safety department. As a long-standing service partner of Gendorf Chemical Park, Kreutzpointner’s Electrical Engineering division was responsible for the general electrical engineering and switchgear construction works on behalf of InfraServ Gendorf.
A variety of training facilities, including a 27 m-high drill tower, a pipe bridge and a respirator training section provide realistic and practice-oriented training not only for InfraServ Gendorf’s own personnel, but also the emergency services personnel from external fire brigades and rescue services trained here by InfraServ Gendorf.
