Deutsche Flugsicherung (DFS – German Air Traffic Control), Munich

Project description

Collaboration between divisions is becoming increasingly important for the Kreutzpointner Group’s major projects. One example is Deutsche Flugsicherung’s (DFS) new air traffic control centre at Munich Airport. For this project in the high single-digit million range, Kreutzpointner’s Building Services Engineering division coordinated with the Switchgear Construction, Engineering Technology and Telecommunications Engineering divisions, along with an installation team from our Romanian sister company AER

From 2012 to 2013, DFS invested €40 million in a new four-storey, 15,000 square metre air traffic control centre next to the long-stay car park at the Erdinger Moos airport. Elektro Kreutzpointner was commissioned for the complete electrical engineering works, a major project worth nearly €10 million , which called for almost the entire range of the Group’s services: general electrical engineering, safety engineering, communications engineering, network engineering and switchgear construction.
